1000 PeaceWomen Across the Globe

NGO Working Group on Women, Peace and Security
Formed in May 2000 to demand a UN Security Council Resolution on women, peace and security. Once this occurred, the NGO has been working on the implementation of Resolution 1325.

Women in Black views itself not as an organization, but a means for mobilization and a formula for action especially through silent vigils. Started in Israel in 1988 to protest against the Isreali occupation of the West Bank and Gaza, chapters have spread around the world.
Women Living under Muslim Law (WLUML)
An international solidarity network that provides information, support and a collective space for women whose lives are shaped, conditioned or governed by laws and customs said to derive from Islam. The network's name was deliberately chosen to debunk the myth that there is one homogenous "Muslim world" with one legal system.
