Advice and Networking for Women Politicians
Even busy politicians need to eat! Then why not in nice company and exchange news, discuss politics, and debate feminist strategies at the same time? These were the main thoughts behind the birth of Green Ladies’ Lunch.
Green Ladies’ Lunch is a forum for women from the public sector and academia, especially those associated with the Green Party feminist movement. Quarterly, various experts are invited to Berlin as panel speakers on current events. Presentations are followed by a roundtable discussion and a reception. Ladies' Lunches are not open to the public.
The patron of Ladies’ Lunch is Claudia Roth, Chairwoman of the German Green Party and member of the German Parliament. Before her, Renate Künast, Head of the Green Parliamentary Party, acted as the patron of Ladies’ Lunch.
Since 2002, Ladies’ Lunch has also expanded to include the satellite offices of the Heinrich Boell Foundation across Germany, in what is called the “Ladies Lunch on Tour.” For more information on the "Ladies Lunch on Tour", please visit the [German webpage].
