After two-and-a-half days, the congress, “Femme Globale – Gender Perspectives in the 21st Century” will come to an end; however, the project to adamantly place women’s and gender policy issues back on the political agenda will continue.

The closing remarks will assess the congress in light of important issues – information society, bio-politics, gender mainstreaming, the UN reform process and the Millennium Development Goals – as well as identify present-day challenges and strategies in the struggle for gender equality.
