Starting from the German EU-presidency in the first half of 2007, a conference on perspectives in European Union's peace and security policy tookplace from May 4th until May 6th. This conference was organized by the Feminist Institute of the Heinrich Boell Foundation and the German Women's Security Council in Berlin, in cooperation with numerous partners. It was supported by the Federal Ministry of Family, Seniors, Women, Youth and by filia, a foundation for women.
'Roadmap to 1325' served as the starting signal for a relay race for the implementation of Resolution 1325, that will move from Germany to Portugal and Slovenia. The goal of the conference was to develop and present a Europe-wide plan for action that includes concrete steps for the implementation of 1325.
