The Gunda Werner Doctoral Fellowship The Feminist Institute, in cooperation with the Scholarship Department of the Heinrich-Boell-Foundation, regularly awards five doctoral fellowships in conjunction with the Gunda Werner Doctoral Fellowship. The Fellowship works in cooperation with the Scholarship Department of the Heinrich-Boell-Foundation. Fellows are expected to research a topic selected by the FI. Scholarship Department of the Heinrich Boell Foundation The Heinrich Boell Foundation awards scholarship to students with above average academic achievements. Open Forum for Academic Scholarly Work Feminist activists created a forum to engage in discussions of activist scholarship on riseup e-community. It is meant to provide a space to engage in dialogue, networking and information sharing relating to activism and academic scholarship. Its a listserve for academics dedicated to putting their scholarly work at the service of progressive movements, including anti-racist, feminist, environmental ustice, economic justice, disability rights, anti-globalization and immigrant rights movements. Five College Women's Studies Research Center A collaborative project of Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke, Smith Colleges and the University of Massachusets, Amherst. The Center accepts about 15 Research Associates per year and invites applications from scholars and teachers at all levels of the educational system, as well as from artists, community organizers and political activists, both local and international. George L. Mosse Distinguished Graduate Fellowship in LGBT History, University of Wisconsin This four-and-a half year funding package, a combination of direct fellowship aid, teaching and research assistantship, and writing support, is intended to attract and support outstanding PhD candidates who wish to study some aspect of LGBT history in any area of the world. Created in honor of George Mosse, a pioneer in the study of gender and sexuality, and a strong supporter of academic initiatives to include the study of LGBT history. The Mosse LGBT fellowship is administered through the History Department. Marie Curie Fellowships for Early Stage Training in Gender and Women's Studies 2006 Coordinated by the Gender Studies Department of Utrecht University, the Marie Curie Fellowships allow early stage researchers access to a training programme offered by a network of seven universities in different European countries. The partner institutions jointly train and exchange junior PhD students. The Marie Curie Early Stage Training Scheme is designed to encourage international mobility and therefore carries an enhanced salary/stipend package. The Third World Organization for Women in Science (TWOWS) The Third World Organization for Women in Science (TWOWS) has instituted a fellowship program for female students from Sub-Saharan Africa and Least Developed Countries (LDCs), who wish to pursue postgraduate training leading to a Ph.D., at centers of excellence in the South (developing countries), outside their own country. The general purpose of the scheme is to contribute to the emergence of a new generation of women leaders in science and technology, and to promote their effective participation in the scientific and technological development of their countries.
